Five area high school seniors were awarded the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Madison's annual Giant Steps $2,000 scholarships. Downtown Kiwanis Members Volunteer for Public TV - 12/03/2017

9 members volunteered on the phone bank for Wisconsin Public Television's December 2017 Pledge Drive. A good time was had by all, and the meal was provided by Coopers Tavern.

Maintaining the Kiwanis Heritage Trail at Oakwood West - 09/28/2016

Eight students from Edgewood High School joined Kiwanis club members Joe Von Elbe, John Esser and Bob Rand chip the trails at Oakwood. It was a good day, and they appreciated the help from the students, who were not afraid to dig into the mulch and lift 40-pound cans into the vehicle.


OLD SAUK BUSINESS PARK BLOOD DRIVE - 08/16/2016

Our thanks go to Tom Brodd, Richard Dwelle, Bob Rand, Tom Smith, Joe von Elbe, and Jerry Schwoch who worked at the AAA Bloodmobile on August 16 for 2 hours each registering,  assisting and refreshing the approximately 46 blood donors. The good looking Kiwanian is Tom Smith handing a cup of water to one of the double red donors.

Sponsored by Human and Spiritual Values Committee, it was a great success. They served 100 people a full menu that included brats, hot dogs, chips, baked beans, watermelon, pops and brownies.
